Aircraft Refueller Driver

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least High School or Vocational Graduate.

At least 3 years experience in driving a trailer, articulated, and prime mover trucks.

• With driver's restriction codes A, A1, B, B1, B2, C, CE, and D (Previously known as Restriction codes 3 & 8).

• AREAS OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in line with airport standards to safely refuel aircraft as required.

• Checking the general condition of refueling vehicles.

Maneuverings of heavy vehicles into position at the aircraft parking bay.

• Communicating with Airline ground engineers, establishing the correct flight number and fuel quantity required.

Liaising with engineers regarding the quantity distribution to be supplied into various aircraft tanks.

• Monitoring fuel levels in aircraft tanks during refueling and communicating with pilots about any problems

Performing maintenance on aircraft fuel systems and components such as pumps, filters, valves, gauges, and hoses

• Inspecting aircraft for damage or defects and reporting findings to appropriate personnel

Connecting fuel hoses to aircraft fuel ports and refueling aircraft using hand pumps or mechanized equipment such as fuel trucks or aerial refueling systems

• Cleaning fuel spills and other debris from aircraft using absorbent pads or brooms

Cleaning and maintaining all fueling equipment to ensure proper function and prevent leaks or rupture hazards

• Observing the operation of aircraft during refueling to ensure the safe operation of equipment and compliance with procedures

Keeping logs of fuel deliveries and usage to track aircraft fuel consumption and replenishments

• Ensure safety requirements are met and followed
