The Intern will support the Air Operations team in coordinating and monitoring air shipments. The intern will assist in handling customer inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and identifying areas for process improvement. This internship offers hands-on experience in the freight forwarding industry, providing an opportunity to work closely with industry professionals and gain valuable insights into air operations and logistics. The intern will also have the chance to contribute to the team's overall success by assisting in various tasks that contribute to the team's goals.
Assist in processing agents permit purchases for shipments
Create shipments in the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
Support the team in clearing shipments through agents
Execute House Air Waybills (HAWBs) accurately and efficiently
Update shipment events in the system to provide real-time tracking information
Coordinate parcel services, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Assist in invoicing processes, verifying charges and ensuring accuracy
Handover shipments to agents and carriers, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete
Handle domestic shipments, coordinating with local carriers and agents
Manage Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, ensuring they are recorded appropriately
- Currently enrolled in a college program, preferably in Freight Forwarding Management, Logistics, Customs Administration or a related field
- Communicates effectively (verbal and written)
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Can prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Good coordination skills and task/process oriented
