Job Description

Hi! We're Smartsourcing, looking for an Accounts Payable Officer who can work with us full-time and on-site!

As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and efficiency of our client's organization. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Some of the things we expect you to do are to:

  • Invoice Processing: Accurately reviews and processes incoming invoices, ensuring all necessary approvals and documentation are in place.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
  • Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments to vendors while adhering to payment schedules.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion.
  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions in our financial system.
  • Reporting: Generate reports related to accounts payable activities for management to review.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.

We would need you to be or have the following:

  • A degree in finance or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Proficiency in Xero and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
