JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise a team of accountants and accounting clerks; provide guidance, training, and support to the team.
Oversee daily accounting operations, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances in accounts.
Prepare monthly and annual accounting reports.
Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Manage relationships with vendors and clients to resolve payment and billing issues.
Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (e.g. CPA, CMA) license is preferred but not required.
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least some experience in supervisory position.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting roles is preferred.
Knowledge of restaurant-specific financial metrics.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A keen eye on details for accuracy.
High level of integrity and ethics.
Ability to handle sensitive information.
