The primary purpose of the Accounting Staff role is to support the organization's financial operations by accurately processing payments, managing invoices, and maintaining financial records. This position ensures efficient handling of accounts payable and receivable, and aids in financial audits.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and process invoices for payment, ensuring they align with purchase orders and contract terms.
This involves verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining payment authorization.
- Manage financial transactions and payments to vendors and service providers, ensuring all payments are completed on schedule and reconciled with company policies.
- Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets that are essential for tracking and analyzing accounting data.
- Manage the scanning and digital filing of all supporting documentation for invoices to ensure records are complete and accessible for audits and reference.
- Identify and implement improvements in the accounts payable process to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Take on additional tasks as needed to support the accounting department, which may include data entry and document management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Business Management, Business Administration, or any related program.
- At least a year of experience is preferred but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
