Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accounting Staff member with expertise in vessel-related accounting and general accounting practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reports related to our maritime operations.
Maintain and update financial records related to vessel operations, including expenses, revenues, and maintenance costs.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Conduct reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable, bank statements, and general ledger entries.- Monitor and manage budgets for vessel operations, identifying discrepancies and providing solutions to maintain financial integrity.
Coordinate with various departments to gather financial information and support internal audits.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
Provide financial insights and reports to management for decision-making purposes.- Stay updated with industry regulations and changes in accounting standards affecting maritime operations.
Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in vessel accounting and general accounting practices.
Strong understanding of maritime industry regulations and financial requirements.- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
