Job Description

Responsibilities of Accounting Staff
  • Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain and update financial records accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounts.
Preparing Financial Statements:
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
General Ledger Maintenance:
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments.
Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and recording receipts.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
  • Provide support in financial forecasting activities.
Financial Analysis:
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data and provide insights.
  • Audit Support:
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports and tax filings as required.
Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports.
  • Ensure expenses are recorded accurately and comply with company policies.
Bank Reconciliation:
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash records.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing:
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and accruals.
Inventory Management:
  • Assist in the accounting for inventory, including conducting physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management.
Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation.
  • Support Senior Accountants and Management:
Provide support to senior accountants and finance managers in various accounting tasks and projects.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting processes and procedures.
Communication and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:
  • Accounting Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:
  • English (Preferred)

License/Certification:
* CPA (Preferred)
