Job Summary:The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Timely and accurate recording of liability transactions in the company's system.
- Ensures complete documentation and accurate processing of payments for local and foreign suppliers as well as reimbursements to employees.
Performs monthly bank reconciliations and analysis of selected accounts.- Conducts monthly analysis and reconciliation of Accounts Payable account (GL vs. SL).
Maintains updated records of payables per supplier and monitors outstanding cash advances of employees.
- Prepares projected monthly schedule of purchases and disbursements.
Reconciles and records daily laboratory service income.- Ensures timely and accurate posting of related journal entries such as accruals, payroll entries etc.
Assists with the computation and filing of monthly and quarterly tax returns.
- Assists with the preparation of weekly management reports.
Maintains and updates the schedule of plant, property and equipment account. Safeguards accounting related documents and records.
- Assists with ISO and other regulatory compliance activities.
Assists the Finance Supervisor with monitoring deliverables of other team members.- Explores business opportunities that may streamline business processes.
Undergoes in-house, basic, refresher, and other training as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned, and if qualified.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
- At least 3 years of experience in an Accounting field combined with demonstrated experience in General Accounting functions and processes, Financial Statement preparation and analysis of accounts, accounts payable and receivable processes, risk management, and corporate tax laws.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a multi-tasking environment- Highly organized, analytical, and systematic individual with a sense of urgency.
Understands basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in MS Office- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
