The Accounting Specialist provides accurate record-keeping and analysis to support the Spanish Accounting team. This position is called upon to assist accounting teams with a variety of financial, compliance, and analytical needs. Given the complexity of the business, strong problem-solving and data comprehension skills are required. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves type of role, where you should genuinely enjoy analyzing financial transactions, crunching numbers, and performing month-end close tasks with an emphasis on completeness, accuracy, and timeliness to ensure that our accounting function runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Own assigned month-end close processes related to a variety of accounting areas, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, G&A accounting, and Inventory Accounting.
- Review general ledger coding on invoiced activity for accuracy and action coding overrides as necessary to ensure accurate accounts.
Responsible for day-to-day invoicing operations, including processing suppliers and partners invoices, communication and resolution of invoicing errors, ensuring credit notes reception, etc.- Implementation of clear processes with suppliers related to invoicing set-up and communication
Perform analysis of accruals; prepare accrual month-end journal entries; validate aged accruals through reconciliation to vendor statements.
- Management of monthly credit cards and expense claims
Support external audit requests such as pulling invoices and payments and providing support for journal entries during audit periods throughout the year.- Provide additional ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by the Accounting team.

Passion, drive, and great communication skills; English and Spanish proficiency is a must
- Extensive experience in a similar role previously or a bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or studying for a qualification in CA/ACCA/CPA (or equivalent).
1-3 years experience working in finance and accounting; Accounts Payable- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. Exposure to an ERP system and experience with Oracle Fusion would be advantageous.
