Assist the Finance Manager with monthly and quarterly closings, reporting and analysis, financial and tax audits, system and process enhancements, daily finance operations, and provide ad-hoc support as required.
Finance Operations (Retail)
- Prepare daily bank reconciliations.
- Monitor and prepare the daily cash sales report.
- Consolidate and prepare monthly Store P&Ls.
- Collaborate with the Retail team to understand current business status and requirements.
- Conduct surprise cash counts and inventory audits.
- Generate audit reports.
General Accounting
- Execute month-end closing activities, including preparation of low to medium complexity journals and flux/variance analysis.
- Manage the closing of purchase & payable, sales and collection, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Prepare subsidiary ledger and general ledger reconciliations (SL-GL recon).
- Validate supporting documents and ensure all attachments are complete.
- Ensure proper collection processes and issuance of receipts, credit memos, etc.
- Monitor and manage the company's fixed assets.
- Oversee inventory management.
- Reconcile sales and receipts.
- Foster business partnerships across teams.
Taxation
- Prepare the Test of Reasonableness (TOR) for expanded withholding tax (EWT) and value-added tax (VAT).
- Prepare income tax returns, including EWT, VAT, and income tax filings.
- Prepare and submit BIR requirements, schedules, and attachments for monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax submissions.
- Prepare 2307 forms for vendors.
Audit
- Assist in preparing reports, reconciliations, and schedules required for audits.
- Coordinate with various teams, departments, vendors, and leaders to gather necessary audit information.
Ad-hoc
- Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time.
