Accounting Specialist

Accounting Specialist Job Responsibilities:

Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT.

Receive, process, and reconcile statements.

Prepare monthly financial statements.

Generate and review monthly reports.

Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.

Prepare and make bank deposits.

Assist with preparation for annual audits.

Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.

Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.

Prepare monthly financial reports.

Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.

Working Hours 8:00 am 4 pm ET (Monday through Friday)

Accounting Specialist Qualifications/Skills:

Able to work with multiple clients

Understanding of GAAP accounting principles

Experience with Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Speak fluent English

Comfortable speaking with clients and SMA team

Confident

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data

Outstanding math and research skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability

Strong analytical skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

3+ years of general accounting experience

3+ years of experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

Proficiency in Quickbooks Online Accounting Software

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred

Experience with Hubdoc, Bill.com or other cloud-based software apps that integrate with Online Accounting platforms a plus
