GOALS OF THE POSITION :
Ensuring tax compliance reportorial requirement to the Philippine government agencies are accurate and current as adherence to most recent circulars memorandum and regulations- issued by BIR, PEZA, BOI and LGUs. Coordinates and oversees accounts payable aging, monthly and year-end closing of books and accounting system, compliance with government standards and requirements, payroll preparation and other financial accounting functions. Closely works with the accounting and finance manager to accomplish duties and responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and apply knowledge of direct and indirect taxes and compliance that affect the business
- Responsible for preparation and filing all tax returns and submission periodic report and applicable government agencies
- Has storing compliance focus in bringing forward immediately new regulations and guidelines to the organization where it is deemed necessary.
- In-depth understanding and continuous education of local tax laws and regulations
- Operational execution of government reportorial requirements and compliance
- Provision of audit requests related to compliance to the government agencies
- Make sure all reportorial requirements are complied with in relation to all transactions entered into by the company including those that are not recurring.
- Facilitate and coordinate annual business permit renewal
- Prepare various financial documents and material records for financial transactions
- Assists in basic financial accounting and fiscal support functions
- Process bills and invoices payments
- Release checks regularly to suppliers
- Organize and maintain accounting records
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of HMO premium and billing concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy/ Management Accounting , or equivalent education, Training and experience.
- Must have working experience on taxation and /or accounting
- At least 2 years experience in handling compliance/ or government reportorial proficiency in MS office applications.
