The Accounting Officer is responsible for providing support to the Management Accounting Assistant Manager by preparing and analyzing data that will assist Management in making business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises the day-to-day accounting operations of the team;
- Develops rigorous financial analysis and evaluation of accounts;
- Ensures compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and government regulatory bodies regulations;
- Reviews team's report, which should be in adherence to accounting standards and company policies;
- Leads the month-end closing process of the team in close coordination with Finance and Logistics Team to ensure timely submission of reports and accurate reporting of financial results;
- Recommends improvement projects in order to enhance and streamline processes;
- Maintains the database updated and correct;
- Provides support to the Team's Manager in ensuring deliveries are achieved;
- Performs other duties and responsibilities analogous to, related to, and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities or as assigned by an immediate superior, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accounting;
- Must be a CPA with 5 solid years of working experience in accounting and a Supervisor, preferably from the Manufacturing industry;
- Has experience executing special projects or assignments;
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large data sets; must be a quick learner and open to feedback;
- Has excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Strong people management, organizational, and planning skills
