Job Summary:
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring precise financial reporting and analysis for our retail supermarket and meat production divisions. This key role requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with significant experience in these industries. You will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and driving process improvements to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the general ledger, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure accurate accounting of inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and production costs across retail supermarket and meat production operations.
- Monitor and analyze production costs, margin analysis, and inventory valuation, implementing cost control measures when needed.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the accounts payable (AP) process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (US GAAP), tax laws, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting professional growth.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and revenue growth through detailed financial analysis, including break-even and profitability assessments.
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives, focusing on automation and workflow optimization.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with PRC License (CPA).
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in retail supermarket and meat production industries, with expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and production accounting.
Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP ledger systems, preferably Acumatica.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a history of developing high-performing teams.
