The role involves managing general accounting activities within the company, including the preparation of trial balances, account analysis, Hyperion reporting, and coordination of budget and financial audits. The main function is to ensure that all accounting operations are accurate and comply with the company's policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include receiving and verifying the completeness of suppliers invoices for both direct inventory items and other payment requests without purchase orders, ensuring proper departmental and account charging, and applying the correct withholding tax rates. This also involves recording invoices and check requests in SAP, forwarding them to the Disbursements Analyst, validating and posting entries for fixed asset acquisitions, and coordinating with the Importation and Inventory section and other departments on invoice-related matters. Maintaining supplier records in SAP and preparing journal vouchers for various amortizations, depreciations, benefit accruals, and other expenses are also crucial tasks.
The role also requires preparing reconciliations of suppliers statements of accounts versus book balances, generating various management reports, and providing schedules and analyses needed by auditors. Additionally, it includes printing and reconciling monthly aging accounts payable against the General Ledger, handling depreciation schedules, and preparing summaries for VAT return filings. The position also entails performing other assignments as required by superiors, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Commerce, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
At least 3 to 5 Year(s) of relevant working experience in the managerial role specialized in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.- Candidate must be proficient in the application of Microsoft Office specifically in Microsoft Excel and possesses good working knowledge on SAP.
