Job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to management.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Phil Tax Laws
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial reporting requirements are fulfilled.- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax filings.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing input and recommendations based on financial analysis.- Monitor and interpret changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support business initiatives and achieve organizational goals.
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or senior role.
Thorough understanding of financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in the Academe is a plus.- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
