Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be handling bookkeeping, accounts payable & accounts receivable process including invoice processing, payment disbursement, vendor & customer management, financial record-keeping, and payroll & compensation processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and documentation. Verify supplier invoices for accuracy before payment submission
- Onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process electronic payments, adhering to schedules.
- Assist with month-end closing (accruals, reconciliations, reporting).
- Maintain accurate vendor master data. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Ensure accuracy of customer invoices.
- Coordinate daily office errands (check collection, invoice delivery, etc.).
- Prepare and submit Daily Collection Report to Finance.
- Monitor and replenish office supplies as needed.
- Assist with tax reporting related to accounts payable. Stay updated on accounts payable best practices and regulations.
- Collaborate with departments for timely invoice approval and payment.
- Support audits with required documentation.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or any Finance related field
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance is preferred. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and Philippine Tax regulations (e.g., VAT, withholding tax)
- Experience in accounting software is preferred, but not required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, efficient in handling financial records
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to spot discrepancies in financial data
