Accounting Assistant who can work with us full-time and on-site!

As an
Accounting Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance team, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, reconciliations, and client support. You'll help maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism while providing essential support for tenant and landlord accounts, inquiries, and adjustments. With a focus on accuracy, organization, and timeliness, you'll ensure seamless financial processes and contribute to smooth operations.
Some of the things we expect you to do are to:
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers, upholding professionalism in all interactions.
- Deliver well-founded, professional advice to external clients as needed.
- Reconciliation Assistance
- Complete Final Statement of Adjustments for outgoing and incoming tenants.
- Reconcile unusual arrears and credits for water, council, and owner's corporation accounts; coordinate with Council, water board, or owner corporation to transfer payments if required.
- Perform account reconciliations as needed.
- Invoicing & Assistance
- Process tenant and landlord invoices as instructed by Property Managers or the Accounts Team.
- Manage processing for lost management and support invoicing accuracy.
- Operational & Process Support
- Respond to general account inquiries, including GST charges on outgoings.
- Assist the Accounts Manager and Senior Trust Accountant with issue resolution, audits, and procedural improvements.
Requirements
We would need you to be or have the following:
- Qualifications in Finance or Accounting is highly preferred.
- Experience in Accounts Payable (handling 100-200 invoices).
- Advanced skills in processing payable invoices.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and prioritization skills, ensuring quick response times.
