Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform the daily operations of the inventory function of the Accounting Department
Utilize accounting methods and practices that are in strict compliance with company accounting policies and generally-accepted accounting standards and practices- Conduct inventory accounting activities and prepares the related inventory reports in a complete, accurate and timely basis
Participate and cooperates with the external auditor in the annual external audit of inventory which includes year-end inventory count.
- Investigate and reconciles all inventory transaction discrepancies (e.g. skipped series, unposted transactions, encoding error, no transmittal or late transmittal of documents, etc.)
Prepare the Transaction Request Form (TRF) for inventory adjustments to be made in the system, subject to management approval
College graduate from a reputable university in an Accountancy or an Accounting-related discipline- Preferably a licensed CPA holder
Prior relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment with a retail distribution operation highly desirable
- Preferably with 1 -2 years of direct work experience in accounting operations, particularly in batch or job costing
Good, in-depth working knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge and familiarity with SAP will be a distinct advantage- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office or equivalent applications
