1) Bookkeeping: Recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate records of income and expenses, and ensuring all financial data is up to date.
2) Bank Reconciliations: Comparing the company's records with bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
3) Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
4) Assisting with Audits: Providing support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and answering queries.
5) Payroll Processing: Calculating employee salaries, taxes, and deductions, and ensuring timely payroll processing.
6)General Administrative Support: Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries.
7) Communication: Collaborating with other departments, vendors, and clients to resolve financial issues and provide support.
8) Recording Transactions: The Accounting Assistant starts by recording all business transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and other financial activities, in the company's accounting system.
9)Verification and Accuracy: Before finalizing transactions, the Assistant verifies the accuracy of the data entered, checks for any errors, and ensures that all transactions are properly documented.
