ABOUT THE ROLE
You will handle transactional accounting and end-to-end financial reporting preparation:
Financial reporting
- Prepare and process month-end work and other reporting deliverables.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliation and ensure balances are legitimate and properly supported.
- Maintain fixed asset register, prepayments, and monthly journals. Ensure all expenses and revenues are accounted within the reporting period.
- Manage intercompany transactions for all entities assigned.
- Prepare working papers for tax lodgments and regulatory requirements.
- Work and deliver against Service Level Agreement (SLA) deadlines.
Process improvement
- Refine standardized processes for each area of service offered, e.g., trust account/bank reconciliation, month-end accounts, AFSL financial compliance, and budgets.
- Document processes in accordance with standardized documentation requirements.
- Update policy documents, checklists, templates, and procedures to enhance compliance and reduce operational risk.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Must have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Bachelor of Science Management Accounting.
- Certified Public Accountants will be at an advantage.
- Fresh graduates without work experience, but who are already a Certified Public Accountants are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in accounting standards and professional ethics.
- Familiarity with Australian tax laws and regulations or experience with Australian companies will be an advantage.
- Strong written and spoken English communication; advanced skill in reading comprehension and analysis of documents.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment, to meet timelines, objectives, and KPIs.
- Ownership for tasks and activities assigned.
- Well-developed interpersonal and time management skills, e.g., liaising with onshore counterparts and other stakeholders.
- Above average critical, analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to execute processes to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate information delivery.
- Experience with SAP ByDesign will be an advantage.
