Your Role:As an Accountant, you will:
Be responsible mainly for efficient inventory management and its related transactional entries. You will also perform general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. Role responsibilities: Includes but is not limited to the following:
- Fulfills expected Customer Service Level by working across the vendors as well as our own organization to streamline and strengthen the supply chain
- Maintains optimum inventory level by keeping the right reorder point / days supply at all times following ordering process guidelines strictly - Keeps inventory of promoted items at correct levels
- Studies turnover trend to meet fluctuations in demand and forecasts as needed
- Suggests if reorder point needs to be adjusted
- Provides workable alternatives to existing ordering process guidelines to improve results achievement
- Exhibits fiscal discipline by providing and maintaining accurate, complete, and timely documents / reports to facilitate Accounting procedures and ensures harmony of records with external parties
- Maintains good credit standing by ensuring that all vendor unsettled balances, either receivables from or payables to, are settled on time / the soonest time possible
- Ensures that Dear ledger balances are matching with Xero at all times.
- Prepare month-end closing/ adjusting entries which includes but is not limited to accruals, amortizations, depreciations and reclassifications as well as preparing reports.
- Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.
- Preparation of month-end financial reports and schedules.
- Analysis of financials. Comparing actuals versus budget.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
- Provide support and documentation during internal and external audits
- Assist with treasury duties.
- Ad hoc tasks that will be assigned from time to time.
