Job Description

As an Accountant, you'll play a vital role in financial operations by assisting in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and business activity statements. You'll also manage general ledger reconciliations, prepare collations, and take on ad hoc duties to support seamless financial processes.

Job Overview

• Assist in preparing financial statements and management accounts.
  
• Support the preparation and lodgment of income tax returns for individuals, trusts, and companies.
  
• Assist in the preparation and lodgment of Business Activity Statementsand prepare collation.
  
• Perform general ledger reconciliations.
  
• Complete ad hoc duties as required.
  

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (CPA is a plus).
  
• At least 5 years of experience in tax and accounting, preferably with exposure toAustralian tax, the hotel and management industry, or property development.
  
• Prior experience working in an accounting firm is preferred.
  
• Strong accounting background or bookkeeping experience with a demonstrated general knowledge of accounting principles.
  
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
  
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero and MYOB is a plus.
  
• Proven ability to take accountability for work and ownership of processes with minimal supervision.
  
• Strong adherence to deadlines and time management.
  
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
