Job Description
Promomash is looking to hire a full-time Account Manager to facilitate communication between clients and sales representatives. They work closely with both to ensure each has clear expectations for the transaction and determine whether the product or service fits the current needs of both parties involved in the negotiation. The position suits an individual who can work in a faced-paced environment and able to think independently in resolving complicated situations.
Individual must be available to work from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time)
We are looking for an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager's role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.
To succeed as an Account Manager, these persons ensure each department meets the needs of their clients and customers. They handle customer complaints, find solutions to their issues, and maintain a positive relationship between both parties for future business ventures. May direct and lead the work of others. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Responsibilities
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
Accountable for analyzing and reconciling all trade deductions.
Monitor the Accounts Receivable Aging Report and web portals for assigned accounts.
Identify and resolve open deductions stemming from various customer claims, including claims related to disputes over prices, discounts, shortages, returns, and delivery requirements.
Collaborate internally with team members from various departments, including Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to successfully research the validity of deductions.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
Prepare reports on account status
Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring to fellow team members.
Attach all necessary documentation in PM Platforms.
Maintain detailed spreadsheets as well as updating workflow in PM Platforms on all open items on customer portfolio.
Assess first actions needed as soon as deductions are generated.
Assist in special projects as needed.
Qualifications and Knowledge
BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance Sales, or relevant field
At least 5 years experience in a similar role.
Strong math, typing, and computer skills, especially with bookkeeping software.
Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, or relevant role
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel and word)
Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Detail oriented and able to work with less supervision
Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
